'Dancing Water' an original monoprint on 300 gsm Somerset paper inked with Akua Intaglio inks.
Inspired by changing light on water and a rather complicated one to print, as it consists of many different layers which are added as I run the print through the press and then hold my breath as I lift the paper from the plate in the hope that all is in line. A hint of gold was added to the main body of water by way of laying a few pieces of inked net which was another tricky process!

Dancing Water
As each print is hand inked and wiped there will be some minor variations between prints. Equally with mono prints although the same colours and format may be produced on several prints each one will contain very individual marks making it a unique print.
All of my work is produced on acid free printmaking papers I am particularly keen on Somerset and Snowdon. For collage I use acid free archival quality pva fixative and for inking I use Akua Intaglio inks wonderfully environmentally friendly inks which clean up easily with soap and water because it is Soy based. All inks have a standard lightfast reading. As with any original artwork strong direct sunlight may fade colours over time.
Sometimes it is very difficult to reproduce the exact colours through photography so your original print may vary slightly in colour from that on your computer screen.
